The MH-53J/M PAVE LOW helicopter was operated in four separate Special Operations Squadrons in the U.S.A.F. Three units were operational and the fourth was the “schoolhouse”. On occasion, the schoolhouse would send cadre to support the other units to support operational missions. Each unit has an official history posted by the U.S.A.F. We have also found other documents pertaining to some of their history.
