MSgt (Ret) Justin Raye Diel, age 39, died February 11th, 2013. Justin was born May 31, 1973, to Jimmy Raye Diel and Cathie Lea Thornburgh Whipkey in Enid, Okla.
Upon completing graduation from Helena-Goltry High School in 1991, Justin entered the United States Air Force in 1992. He married Natalie Lucretia Diel on Sept. 29, 2006, in Navarre, FL. Justin was an Aerial Gunner on MH-53 Helicopters and AC-130U Gunship. He recently retired from Hurlburt Field, FL in 2012.
Surviving are his wife, Natalie of Navarre, FL; and their children, Brianna Renee' Diel and Savannah Rose Diel; his parents, Jimmy Raye Diel and wife, Judy of Drummond; Cathie Lea Whipkey and husband, Harold, of Higgins, Texas; his sisters, Casie Lea Brownlee and husband, Kyle, of Enid, Okla.; Kristina Ann Redman and husband, Nathan, of Edmond, Okla.; Kimberly Dawn Scrogin and husband, Chris, of Corning, Ark.; step-brothers, Ron Whipkey of Kingston, Okla., and Roger Whipkey of Lubbock, Texas; step-sister, Makayla Booze of Enid; grandmother, Irene Harguess of Enid.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ivan Diel, D.L. Harguess, Berniece Thornburgh, and Lavern Thornburgh.
